Founded in 1988, the International Geothermal Association (IGA), is a scientific, educational and cultural organization established to operate worldwide with more than 5,000 members in over 65 countries. The IGA is a non-political, non-profit, non-governmental organization with consultative status to the United Nations (UN).
The objectives of the IGA are to encourage research, the development and utilization of geothermal resources worldwide through the publication of scientific and technical information among the geothermal specialists, the business community, governmental representatives, UN organisations, civil society and the general public.
One of IGA’s aims is to encourage, facilitate and, when appropriate, promote the coordination of activities related to worldwide research, development and application of geothermal resources.
In line with this, Olsuswa Energy also looks to promote global knowledge and research in the geothermal sector by sharing and publishing research articles on our ongoing projects via IGA’s established audience. Olsuswa Energy has been a member of IGA since March 2016.
