Operating under Special Prospecting Licenses (SPL) 281 (A and B) and SPL 221, Mayfox Mining has been carrying out exploration both via land and airborne surveys covering vast areas within Turkana County. As a result of mineral target identification, Mayfox Mining currently implemented a reduction of the license from the original 5,900 sq. km to 1,639 sq. km precisely. The licensed area initially covered two blocks: SPL 281 A and SPL 281 B, of which SPL 281 B was relinquished in the year 2015.
\nSPL 281 A consisted of 14 target areas of gold mineralization and other precious metals; geological similarities discovered compare the site to the Niassa Gold Belt in Mozambique that hosts estimated reserves of 4-5 million oz. of gold.
\nMayfox Mining is looking to secure SPL 1469; currently in the application stage. This is within the Emuruanuk area in Turkana County. Several gold occurrences have been reported in the area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
